RBC x Communities United Youth Employment

Communities United partnered with the Royal Bank Foundation to deliver the Summer 2020 Youth Employment Initiative. This is an online program focusing on developing your skills in self-employment, entrepreneurship, and technology. This program includes a myriad of online training opportunities and workshops, professional development courses, resume building, and MatchWork profiles. Out of 20 program surveys, 100% agreed that ‘this was a meaningful way to spend my summer.’ 100% said that they learned a lot from the Digital Skills courses. And 100% reported that the skills they gained throughout the summer will help them in their future job search. Learn more about the project

I have been working with Tamara on a number of projects over the last three years. In that time, Tamara created a new website for our community development initiative, developed creative and engaging graphics and social media content for all our platforms, collaborated with us to explore innovative and diverse online engagement strategies, and provided continued support and feedback. Tamara invited us to explore new strategies, tools, and platforms, and helped take our work to a new level of success.

Tamara is creative, entrepreneurial, and innovative. In the spring of 2020, in a matter of weeks, Tamara saved our summer program supporting local youth by helping us to switch from an in-person program to a fully online program. Without Tamara’s support developing an online course, there’s no way that we would have been able to transform a challenging summer into a successful summer. Tamara is great to work with and I'll continue collaborating with her whenever I get the chance.
